Our Payment Policy:
- Payment is due at the time of service. We reserve the right to discontinue service to anyone with an outstanding account balance. Any discrepancies should be reported immediately.
We accept cash, credit & debit cards (VISA, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), Care Credit, personal checks (with a valid driver’s license), and Trupanion.
Returned Checks Fee: A $25 fee will be assessed to any returned checks.
Finance Charges: Balances over $100 held over 60 days are subject to 3% finance charges.
Debt Collection Service: Accounts with balances over $40 held over 90 days will be submitted to a debt collection service. - Credit Card Surcharge: We want to inform you about a recent update regarding our billing process.As part of our commitment to providing you with the highest quality of service, we continuously evaluate our operating costs. Recently, we have incurred increased credit card processing fees, which significantly impact our operational expenses.
To continue delivering exceptional service while managing these costs sustainably, we have made the difficult decision to forward the credit card processing fees to our clients. This change works 2 folds. One, it will allow us not to raise prices on some of our services; and two, it will enable us to maintain our service standards without compromising on quality.
Here are the key reasons for this adjustment:
Transparency: We believe in being open about our costs. By passing on the fees, we can provide a clearer understanding of our pricing structure.
Sustainability: This decision helps ensure that we can continue investing in resources that enhance your experience with us.
Fairness: As our services benefit from various payment methods, allocating costs related to specific payment types allows us to maintain equitable pricing for all customers.
That being said, effective 01/15/25, we will impose a surcharge of 3% on the transaction amount on credit card products, which is not greater than our cost of acceptance. We will not surcharge debit cards. To avoid the surcharge, you will be able to choose another payment method.We understand that this may affect you, and we appreciate your understanding as we implement this change. Late Cancellation and No-Show Policy:
No Show Fee and Appointment Cancellation Policy: At La Plaza Veterinary Clinic, we strive to provide the best possible service to all our clients. To help us maintain these standards, we have implemented a late cancellation and no-show fee policy. Here are the reasons behind this policy:
- Compensation for Lost Revenue: Last-minute cancellations or no-shows prevent us from filling appointment slots, resulting in lost income that affects our ability to serve our clients.
- Encourages Commitment: Our cancellation policy encourages clients to commit to their appointments. Knowing that there is a fee for late cancellations or no-shows helps ensure that everyone values the time reserved for them.
- Operational Efficiency: A clear cancellation policy allows us to manage our scheduling more effectively, optimizing our resources and staff to serve you better.
- Fairness to Other Clients: We want to ensure that all clients have access to our services. When an appointment is missed, it can prevent others on our waitlist from receiving the care they need.
- Professionalism and Respect for Time: This policy reflects our commitment to professionalism. It highlights the importance of our time and the effort that goes into preparing for your appointment.
- Recovery of Administrative Costs: Administrative work is required to prepare for each appointment. A late cancellation or no-show can lead to wasted effort, and the fee helps us recover some of those costs.
For the reasons stated, your account will be assessed a $25 fee for not showing up for your scheduled appointment or cancelling your appointment within 24 hours.
